On our layout we have both O-Gauge and HO.
It seems to be a nice workable mix. Sometimes the O-Scale even though to scale are
just "BIG". So we have mixed in the 2 it appears to work well. We have received nice
feed back about it. We are not sticklers for accuracy to scale and my kids don't seem to mind.
We use N-Scale someone was discarding for our Amusement Park, "Kiddie-Land Train".
Just having some fun until they get older and want more scale realism!!!
What I have done with some passenger cars in O gauge was to put H.O. figuires inside, especially inside the upper level of the Vista Dome cars in O gauge.

Lee I like that idea.
I have a whole bunch of HO figures that came with my son's HO set.
Now that I know how to get into the vista domes I will put some of those figures in there
Our N-Gauge "Kiddie Land" in the middle of our layout got a boost this Christmas with my son's friend giving us some N-Scale rolling stock.
Thanks for the tip
Sometimes even with using H.O. scale figuires in an O scale car like the K-Line vista dome passenger cars for the Golden State, I had to cut the feet off the figuires as they were still too large to fit properly.
You would be amazed at what fits inside an O scale passenger car or not fit!
