Title: 80' Amtrak Superliners Phase IV
Post by: trainman2 on December 03, 2013, 11:45:45 AM
I just bought a set of 5 NOS. Some of the thin silver plastic strips used to vertically divide the wide windows are loose in the boxes - they somehow fell off. Can anyone recommend an adhesive to reapply them?
Also, does anyone know when these were manufactured?
Thanks to all!
Ed

I have seen superglue wreck many clear plastics by "clouding". Other glue too. My personal favorite for gluing when even nearby clear items, is Testors canopy maker & cement (for model planes). You can make lenses, and fill many small-med. window holes with it too. Not a fast dry time, overnight at least (product amount used/thickness matters).

If you do an internet search for "canopy glue", you will find many sources.

Agreed Testors is the way to go. Your LHS should have it.
