Title: Looking for Informations about the HO-GE 44/45 ton switchers?
Post by: Traunbahn on February 17, 2009, 04:13:04 AM
Hi friends!

Bachmann has 2 very interesting HO switchers, the 44to and the new 45to (side rod) locomotives. I believe, these drive units will be a good basis for On30-conversions.

My first question is: Has the new DCC 44to-switcher 2 motors like the old run or a new 1-motor-drive (with/without flywheel)??

My 2nd one: Can someone tell me the axle-distances / distance between the bogie-pivots and wheel-diameter of both models?

I want to make a project-drawing before I will order the right model I need.

(I hope you can understand my English  because this is not my home-language.)

Many thanks

Traunbahn

Dear Traunbahn,
The 44 and 45 Tonners have one motor.
I haven't got samples here to measure; perhaps someone else will.
Have fun!
