I'm new to the E-Z track. I have an outer oval and thought to buy a pair of #5 switches to link an inner & outer oval.
It seems like to use these I have to cut parts of the track bed. Am I just using them wrong?
Any help is appreciated.

Dear Psycho,
There is a scored line under the roadbed to make the trimming easy.
Have fun!
the Bach-man
The question I have about the #5 turnouts is...
Why doesn't Bachmann do the cutting at the factory or make the routes slightly longer? ( forgive me if routes isn't the correct term.) :-[
Or failing that include a note saying "Turn switch over to see the score line."

That is where the term model railroading comes in . Bachmann makes it easy . Dont complain. My friend ran 2 scale miles of 2 track hand laid rail ,spikeing it ,laying wood ties the works . Only took him 8 years on and off . Then he had to move and it all had to come out . Lesson learned here. Make it sectional enough to get out of the house! Any other hard luck cases out there?
