I have a Big Hauler 4-6-0 that is missing two parts that are out of stock. The hatch on the cab is missing, and the number plate on the front of the smoke box is missing. Would these two parts be suitable substitutes?

Be aware that the method of attachment to the smokebox door might be different so you may have to do a little filing and use some epoxy glue to put it on.
As for the hatch, the 2-8-0 hatch is smaller than what you need. I can only suggest you get a small piece of styrene plastic and make a hatch and glue it on and paint it flat black. It won't open like the original of course.
