Hi

About rumors, did not Athearn once plan to come up with a Daylight train?

Regards, Yukonsam

Are they still the standard RTR, or is Athearn pouring more in?

Better motor and gears, better contacts, detail improved, operating front coupler with nuckle couplers bow and stern.
Based on my two 0-6-0s, which were early enough NOT to get the front and knucle couplers, a wonderful advancement.

Dear Flash,
The Spectrum version is on hold-  it was decided to upgrade the Standard Line model first.
Have fun!

By Upgrade, could you elaborate?

Horn Hook couplers can also be wedged into the knuckle on KD and other couplers and you'll darn near need to run the train through inverted-corckscrewing-Loop for those to THINK about letting go.

Don't forget, this is YOUR layout, you can stick one in the middle of a forest if you wanted, and claim that the trains needed a place to re-ice on long hauls.

ou can do it on DC too, but you need to keep them spaced out so they aren't sucking from the same section of track. Also, keep 'em short or they won;t be able to move and comperable in length and weight s B doesn't go flying into A

I did it with Athearn and Bachmann Daylights, engines only, for a salute to an OLD AHM 0-4-0 that I think the motor died in.

HO / Re: Value of Bachmann Silverton Flyer

I was given a Bachmann Silverton Flyer 1997 still in the box never used.  Someone wants to buy this from me and I don't know where to go to find the value.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi. I'm not buff, wearing a bedsheet, or carrying a lantern of Truth, but I can tell you that Horizen Hobby has a Silverton Flyer listed for $310, though it may not be the same thing. the ones I see are Big Haulers, not HO

EDIT: a review says over 70, not real helpful. http://www.epinions.com/kifm-Toys-All-Bachmann_Industries_Silverton_Flyer_Standard_Series_Train_Sets_90025#

and here's a listing of Comperable trains, the Silverton is listed for 179, but it goes all the way up to 338.

HO / I heard a rumor Bach-man please solve

That there was a plan to do the SP Daylight in Spectrum, and possibly with sound. (and then, maybe in the AFT scheme) Which would save me a lot of time, effort, and pain in trying to convert the DCC On Board I have to a Sounded Loco.

Could you (or someone) confirm this, please?
