Has anyone else got a good laugh out of the sight of "Super Bachmann" with the cape in the new catalog.
Sorry I couldn't help but Laugh...

Naw, plenty of other stuff in life to laugh about.
I read the comics on line very morning.

I told the Bach-Man he should become a super hero cartoon character. Guess he took my advice LOL
Bachmann has done a lot in recent years to produce some excellent products and begin to craft an image as a serious model railroad manufacturer. How does a cartoon character help shed the toy train maker image?

The "cartoon thingies," as you so eloquently put it, were put there by Bachmann as a result of me filling out my profile when registering for this site. If you would feel a little less intimidated, I can see that they are removed.
Doesn't intimidate me. Just having fun with it.
Maybe Bachmann should take the faces off the Thomas line so they don't look like toy trains. :)
My wife does wear Army boots, being an Army veteran.
Army/combat boots - Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck used the phrase in cartoons.
Poor women used to strip battlefield corpses for their clothes and boots.
The government used to give poor people surplus Army boots.
"Your mother wears Army boots" was the title of an Odd Couple TV episode.
"Rosy the Riveter" wore boots.
Granny Clampett wore boots.
I think one of us is taking this way too seriously (me). This is, after all, only a hobby and is supposed to be fun. Humor just doesn't always translate well in print. I think that now I will as graciously as possible try to retire from this thread. Sorry for any offense caused.
Mike - No problems here. We just have different views on things.
