Thanks for the suggestion John but I wanted an actual Bachmann one as it was to be cannibalised to fit with another for a scratch build. Problem now solved thanks as I ended up making the "extra bit" from styrene sheet.

A long shot but does anyone, ideally in the UK, have a spare Mogul cab - any version, Bachmann, Hawthorne Village, Thomas Kinkade, Christmas train - they'd be willing to sell on? If so. please message me with details, cost etc.
Thanks

Thanks for the comments and link Tom, most helpful as I'm using the same decoder as you. I'm not using a shuttle controller but your reprogramming tips are very interesting. More to look into as I progress.

You'll have a problem, or a long wait, finding one of either with sound Terry as the standard Bachmann offerings don't have that provision. It will almost certainly require you to change the on-board decoder for a sound model, hence my post here. If you're interested, I've had some responses here.

There are other suitable decoders of course, notably the ESU LOKsound Galloping Goose which I've installed in my four rail trucks and the Soundtraxx is just one I'm considering for the rail bus.

I've read various threads on this subject but before I dive in, I was wondering if anyone has used a Soundtraxx TSU1100 885004 for this exercise. If so, any comments or advice would be welcome.
