I work on the prototype for the consolidation released by Bachmann a few years ago. Here is a video taken just this last weekend. Enjoy!

That is great video... Although I think I enjoyed the audio as much as the video. The whistle has a rich tone to it, and I didn't realize that part of the line has a 6% grade. Excellent stack talk there.
Thanks for the video.

I think it needs one of them thar' fancy "high bass" speakers to get more bass sound.
Great video, Thanks

Thank you for sharing with us! I did notice the cab placement was exactly as Bachmanns model. cool video. ;D
Of course, it's the protoype! Here is a bit of a cab ride with myself on the firing valve. Enjoy!

Can you give a little background on this railroad?
Virginia City, MT had no railroad. The Northern Pacific reached Alder some 10 miles distance in 1902. Charles Bovey, savior of both Nevada City and Virginia City built the line we run on in 1964. The official website can be seen here:

I'm contemplating picking up the Bachmann model and creating it's prototype. Now it should be noted she looked nothing like this in FCM service. No smokebox extention, short stack and centered headlight. Would be fun to model in both service lives.
Nice video. I plan on bashing my 2-8-0 into White Pass #69
