$5 a pop!!!!!!!!!! Sorry 3rail,  I don't have a high paying gig like you do answering questions on the web to allow for something like that in my budget, and even if I did, I wouldn't. That's just flat out highway robbery! How much are they [scotts] giving you for the plug? Must be a bunch for the prices they want! Tell me, what about the peanut bulbs that you put in switchers?

Have fun!
the Bach-man

Fall has come and gone Bachmann, just wondering if I can expect the RI Alco FA 2 AA's before Christmas.  Thanks

I'm sorry to inform you that Fall isn't offically over until 4 days prior to Christmas, so I think the Bach-mann's still got you on the hook till then. I hope that doesn't ruin your holiday.

It is possible the older ZW is not feeding the TPC pwer up to specs, so when the Cab-1 orders the TPC to place DC on the track, there is something "off" with the DC.  Then the TB boards will not see the DC, and the loco will not ring.

Try running the engine on another power source to see if it is the power source or the engine.
I'm using a "Z" not ZW. This transformer puts out 25 volts to the track. I have another post on another board about the same thing. I have recentley scored a Wm.s 671 that has 1 hr. run time on it. I have major problems with the whistle continually going off by itself. I have used various power settings with the Z, swapped to KW trans., Major scrub and cleaning of track, and still same problem. I bought this used so WBB can't help repair this, so talk is cheap here.
To 3 rail and Mods the reading this, I love your products, they run great and I have no complaints. But I hope you work to inprove the sound systems while still keeping it simple to operate. Thanks

Thanks 3rail, I understand somewhat but don't as I know it can get technical real quick. Im not real worried about it, mostly courious is all. BUT, as long as Im on the subject, I'll hi-jack my own post because I can! ;D   Out of the 7 Williams Loco's that I have, my NH ep-45 is the only one that when I run it, the horn will blow when it wants to without any help from me. At times it has become such a hassle hearing it that I become frustrated by it that I remove it from the track. I put on any other WBB Loco I have at same power level and they work as advertized. Any idea what causes this, and how to fix? Thanks

I'd have to run over to my storage locker and check.  Does TB-II have bell & horn and  TB just the one? Post on other boards have said that depending on when they were built would dictate what the board may and may not have/do. I can live with it without the bell, Im just courious is all.

I need some input. I have a 2 Locos that the Bell won't ring no matter what, Horn works fine. These are Williams that I bought about 6 months before the buy-out and have now gotten them outta the box to run. The locos in question are a NH EP-5 and a CNW NW-2. I was told by a reputable LHS to flip the 2 wires at the track, all that did was make the horn blow when I push the bell button, and still no bell with pushing the horn button. Is this a factory faux pas or something else? I have 4 other Williams that both horn/bell work fine. Power is Lionel "Z" trans using Lionel Cab-1 with TPC 400. Thanks

What bulbs do I need in my Locos? I have some new locos where the bulbs were toast out of the box, and there were no replacements. It seems like a #51 6V that was in there is waaaay to small.
What's a compatibale LED bulb as well? Thanks

Best bet is to go on the E- bag. You can even get just axles if you want.

Actually, I got to the Williams part of the site.  there is a plave to place a key name or part number.  Just for fun, I put in SD90.  Got all the WBB SD90's.  But navigation could be easier/

But they just got the stuff.  Be glade Jerry Williams stuff is still being made.
Not so true my friend! I put in "sd-45", and it just so happens that page 2 is all "N" scale. NOW take someone on a limited budget that see's that all of page 2 items are $90 vs the $115 of "O" gauge on page 1 and there's a problem. That just the way I see it.  I type in "parts" and get 23 pages of everything, but no parts, same goes for searching "steam engines", why?
Mr. OGReditor- not to sound rough which is not my objective here but these are just a few of the many issues that I've found. Can maybe you or the head web folks dig into this matter and make at least the William's portion alot more friendly to use than it is? Maybe break down the traditional lines so that when you go there and having to look at all the diesels, sub-cat it to the types of diesels so, BAM, your there without having to spend time finding what your looking for?  Keep the "B" units with the appropriate road name "A" units instead of listing all the "A" units then the "B"s? If not, maybe add lots more items per page [like 50-75] instead of 10 so you have fewer pages to go through? I really love Williams products, but since the change, the website has been the worst, and I think not very user friendly at all. Thank you

Williams by Bachmann / Your Website is Terrible!

You all really need to do something about it. 230 locos in the Traditional line with 24 pages, and I have to scrool through  to page 21 before I even get to the SD45's. Come on now, use your heads for cryin out loud! If someone wants to look at the Traditional line of Diesels, click that tab that opens to a list of the models, i.e. FP45, F-7's, GP's, etc. so you don't have to go through the whole mess. And I'm sure that this isn't the only example? I really miss Williams old site, it was sooooooooooo user friendly to find something, not like what there is now. So much for change for the better. Thank you for the rant, hope you fix it real soon.
