Title: Bachmann Santa Fe GP-40 DCC
Post by: jackbreadman1 on August 15, 2012, 05:04:31 PM
I have a new Santa Fe #3507 GP40-DCC equipped.  Well anyway I bought it new but I do not have any instructions with it.  When I run this engine it starts out really  smooth and then after a couple of minutes it gets really noisy.  It might need lubrication however I do not know where to lube it at, so are there any on line instructions or any thing on this engine?  I have three engines similar to it so please help.  thanks Jack

I doubt lubing will be necessary as they are pre-lubed from the factory. Try running it in forward and reverse for a while which should break it in. If you still want to go inside snap the fuel tank off and there should be 2 or 4 screws under that. After removing the screws lift off shell.
Always remember too much lube is not good.
