Check the label on the box. Or check the product specifications listed for the Bachmann Item Number.
Bachmann uses the trademarks
DCC On Board TM and
DCC Sound On Board TM if there is a decoder installed. However, all Bachmann locomotives with a decoder installed can be run, without modification, using a DC power pack. The sound units are best if used with a DCC system.
