Bob,

I just can tell you that in one of my 2 Heislers case the replacement stuff I did receive from Bachmann, did perform very well. It´s still the 2st replacement I have in that Heisler and it still runs good. You may want to give these parts another try, hopefully this will come out very well...

Cheers, Tom :)

Bill,

I´ve done the Foothill Model Works kit for that WSLCo Caboose No.3 a while ago. It´s a beautifully molded little gem. I have it running here. As far as I know, they are still at the injection molded kit, which is not out yet. Hope they will be out with it, I could have another one. They´re just awesome lil´pieces of rolling stock.

Sure,

Keith Wiseman did re-introduce a better version of the old Durango Press kit.
A cast plow does make the assembly a bit easier. I have done the old Durango Press kit
which has a cardboard plow, which is not that difficult to build as it sounds...

Kind regards,
Tom

Add something fitting for the Maine folks...?

A RGS Plow Flanger, as Royce said.
Or a Rotary...

Disconnects for the Logging folks...!
A West Side Logging Caboose...?

Hello there folks,

Bach-man: Can you give us a release date for the new Heisler locomotives yet?
I thought they may already be on the return trip, but no word in here yet...

Would be awesome if we could please could have any kind of information
as I´m sure there are masses of folks out there waiting for them to arrive.

Cheers, Katercat ;) ;) ;)

Hi there folks,

as the Lenz Factory is just half an hour by car from here, I´m using Lenz.
They have been very supportive all the time. If you have a older Lenz LZV100 station,
you can upgrade to a higher number of CV´s controlable, but the LH90 Handheld does limit
them. I do have one LH100 for these purposes, but I have three LH90´s as I like the control by
turn of the knob (...) more...

They all work pretty well together with the Lenz Sound engines...

They have become just awesome cute little geared engines. Heck, I can´t resist to have minimum one... =)

Thanks for posting the photos, Bachman!!!

Well, folks,

a bigger and more "modern" Shay would be to my taste.

Apart from the several brass models, there are not that much On3/On30 shays on the market.
I had converted two Bachmann Shays with the brass kits from Keith Wiseman to Gilpin lookalikes and the other to a 1920 style shay, which changes everything.

C´mon Bachmann you can do it. Give those ol´ Loggers out there another geared engine...
I would love to see a WSLco shay...

or, what about a 2-6-6-2 logger like your Fn3 model? That would make my day...

The C&S engines would need a upgrade to the correct cab and tender plus DCC-ready...

What about a C&S No.74 plus the RGS No.74...?

I´m getting forward with this: By cutting off the flared side of a 4-6-0 tender, plus adding the upper parts made from Polystyrene, and adding a air reservoir to the rear (from a Forney kitbash), the tender is literally finished.

The 4-6-0 boiler with a shortened smokebox and grinded off sand dome plus a BLI C-16 cab with a extended roof will be another step to a RGS 74. Using a BLI C-16 frame and wheelset plus a Bachmann 2-8-0 Walschaerts reversing gear will be the next step.

I´ll keep you updated folks...

What about a D&RGW C-21 or C-25?

Or - favorite to so many people in the Narrow Gauge World: A C&S engine, such as B4F and preferably in her Rio Grande Southern version, RGS 74 too. Would be awesome.

Yep, that would make my day...

I have already found out by checking the dimensions that the 4-6-0´s tender with some minor alternations, makes a perfect RGS 74 tender... =) ...and the Cab from a C-16 fits with a extended cab roof, but the rest.... ??? ??? ???

Folks,

when I looked through some older Gazettes, I found a drawing of my favorite, the C&S / RGS No.74.
The 4-6-0´s tender matches the dimensions, but what about the rest...? I could see to use a HO 2-8-0 from Bachmann´s range for the running gear, some halfway fitting domes from PSC, but...

Anyone tried this before?  ??? ??? ???
Any recommendations...?   ???

Cheers, Tom ;) ;) ;)
