The F-3's look great.
I have several WBB engines, all are good performers.
Nice find.

Looks really good on the layout

At first I liked the green but the above comment about using yellow sounds better.
Use what you like but if it were me I'd probably switch to yellow.

I did the same thing on a different engine except I used solid wire and it failed from fatigue.
Stranded wire is a much better idea when attaching to the truck.

I used electrical tape to secure the wires inside the shell.

I'm thinking about adding an interior and cab lights.
With the see through screens on the sides I bet it would look great

For the headlight and markers I soldered leads to the bulb socket.
No movement like when I attached the leads to the front truck on my F7.

When I have the cab open I'll check out the rear truck for power like you mentioned.

I added an interior to my dummy F7
It started out a a Lionel F3 interior, I cut it apart and fitted it to my Williams F7
Most likely I'll paint the inside of the cab walls to match.

Sorry about the sideway pictures

Just a question.

Is there a video that shows how to remove the shell from a O-Gauge F-7 safely???

I don't want to accidently scratch up my ACL F-7

As stated, 4 screws and lift off.

Fold a towel over a couple of times to make a soft cradle for the F7 to lie.
Be cautious not to snag the horns and pull them off when lifting the train from the cradle.
