Williams by Bachmann / Re: Ready-to-Run Sets
August 04, 2008, 10:56:15 PM
Hey Bruce, page 75 through 79 of the 2008 catalog are sets, or at least in my catalog there is.  From the price listed I guess they wouldn't be called starter sets though! ;)

For whatever it's worth, I just sold 6 MTH PS2 locomotives and a complete DCS system and now have 6 beautiful new Williams reproductions of Lionel engines that I wanted as a teenager and could not afford at that time.  That along with my On30 makes this old feller one very happy railroader!!! If they look like cartoons then I like cartoons.  Bring 'em on!!

I also will chime in here as I also have had my share of problems and each and every one has been taken care of by them to my total satisfaction.  In this day and age it's nice to know that this manufacturer still cares about their customers and I commend them.

Max, I have sent you three pictures and hope that helps.  I added the Tsunami sound to the 4-4-0 and the two Forneys have factory sound.  It makes it pretty darn nice!

Max, it is indeed a very small locomotive.  I have two Forneys and was very surprised when I got it to see that it is much smaller except for the length.  Post your e-mail address and I'll send you a couple of pictures if you want.

Try looking in the very bottom of the box under where the engine was as that is where all the paper work usually is.  That bottom piece of cardboard lifts up.

Good luck Mike.  I've had to return two Forneys for the exact same thing and they now have a third back in their shops for the same thing also.  Bottom line here one good one out of four!! Good luck.

On30 / On30 Replacement truck question
November 19, 2007, 11:27:38 AM
Mr. Bachmann, can you please advise us when the Freight truck part number #29904 will be available to dealers.  This is the truck that is used under the log cars and it sure would be nice to be able to get these to replace the ones we have on our other cars.  They have been promised for some time but no dealer that I know of has them or can get them.

Thank You.
