I feel that we could use a upgrade Shay, plus a Heisler. they gave us a nice Climax. Look at what Wiseman did with the shay from Bachmann. it would not take much to come up with changes in what they all ready have.
The Climax with the two different cab styles makes them look completely different, and that's a winner in anyone's book.
Now look at my poor over worked shay.

So are you saying the car is around 11" long, if so it will fit in the case.
That's if I did the math right. Anybody out there come up the same answer.

On30 / Layout started at last.
November 10, 2007, 11:57:49 PM
 Hi all
Back again with a shot of my shay #1, as you see it is in need of a overhaul badly. With so many trips to the woods and now the need to lay track down on the new Deep Creek layout. Yes you heard right!  :o  :o ;D :D The layout has started. I have got in place 8 feet of bench work and if the Lord does not mind tomorrow after church. I will start on the next section.
I will try to put pictures up with a progress report. That way I will have to keep on working on the layout.

Happy modeling  :o :o

 To All
I am doing good and filling better than the last two years, it could be said that is due to being for now off the medicine. Just ran some more test and waiting on the doctors to look at them. Should hear something next week.
Good news is that I have finally came up with a track plan for Deep Creek logging RR, and started putting in the bench work, will post some pictures later. Now for some RR. talk!
I am a good shay person, but I could really go for a Heisler also. Maybe one like this.

For those that would like a tree truck shay, me too! But a nice two trucker would still help a lot.
  Happy Railroading

On30 / Let's get out the vote for a new two truck Shay!
November 08, 2007, 09:24:45 PM
  ::) :P :-*
Let's get to it all you loggers out there!
First of all lets thank Bachmann for job well done . I have really enjoyed my On30 equipment, and yes tomorrow. Will start putting in my first section of bench work down one wall, it is of the module design. I am planning to take pictures along the way to keep you all posted. We are changing the name of the RR. from Deep Creek Lumber CO. To the new Deep Creek Company because we found coal on our land holdings which will help out with company revenue. So I will busy lettering the equipment D.C.C., and just how did that come about. Well I love DCC control, enough said.
Now I need some new power from Bachmann are you listen out there.

How about turning on the shrink machine. Thanks for everything. shayman

 ;) ;)
Hi all
I would have to go with two engines.
1st. A three truck Shay or a Nice class B two truck Shay around 55 tons.
2nd. Up dated 2-6-0, that engine needs a over haul bad with a raised up coal load to help with sound system, and be DCC ready.

 Happy RR.

 ;D ;D
Hi Shayman here. I would go with one of the Digitrax small n-scale chips. I have a couple that I use to run with till I put in sound. The one that I am using in my Climax is a DN121.

Happy railroading.
An update on me is that in a week and haft. I am to go back for more test before they will make up their mind how to go. Thanks everyone for the thoughts. I am feeling better than I can remeber in the last two years.

On30 / Prayers and Thanks
October 16, 2007, 11:09:29 AM
I would like to say thanks to this group for their support and now I have to say this. I have had cancer for eight and haft years. The doctors did not give me six months that was five and haft years ago.
Well now it has shown up in my brain and there if some options that was not there years ago. My new doctor has taken it to a panel of his and said that I had come this far, they were not going to rush into this, it seems that something of miracle to them.
My Lord Jesus has been at my-side the hold time and I can say that when I meet people that they can not believe that I have cancer. The treatments that was tried on me threw the years effects me more until now. I just want you all to know the Lord loves us all. After I get patched up I will let you know. For the victory has been won!
My prayers is for all of you to keep on having fun railroading.
Again my prayers are for you.

Hi all
Here is what I did to change the number.

On30 / comparison shot of 4-4-0, 2-6-0, 2-8-0 by shayman
September 20, 2007, 11:18:01 AM
 Hi All
I to cannot wait to see the new 4-4-0 engine. Their has been a lot of talk about the size and I have put some pictures together. Some of the pictures I did not take and would like to say to the ones who took them thanks for takening them.

You can see how the lengths run by looking at the pictures and the ruler.
I believe that the 4-4-0 is 2 1/2 inches shorter than the 2-8-0 and around 1 1/4 inches shorter than 2-6-0.
The 2-8-0 is around 13 inches long.
Happy Railroading
