Hard to say... without the track, i'd estimade $40. But you probaly won't get much more than 15. If it is 20-30 years old, then its worth less. Bachmann got their act together later so their engines are more valuable today. Personally my john bull ran fine but in the end, not worth the trouble. The set is a good model to put on a shelf or somthing but running, not so great. So you might as well keep it for personal enjoyment ;)

I have one I picked up sometime ago for a good price. I figured out how to improve the pickup but these things want to run kind of fast. Usually the motor brass gear tears up a couple teeth on the first plastic gear and renders the loco to a show piece or severely weathered/rusted old loco behind the roundhouse.

oteb-

I picked up a pristine set for $30 about a year ago so I doubt if these are worth much.  However, they do make a good display on a shelf or perhaps in the park on your layout.

It is worth what people are willing to pay and for the loco and coaches only, most people would not pay more than $5-10 for these second hand because people know how they run, but as said before they are good display pieces. If they are in mint condition and were made within the last 5 years then you might get $15.
