Title: GF6C locomotive
Post by: CPRailHelmet on September 23, 2016, 04:05:40 PM
Does any Model train manufacturer make the GF6C (In BC Rail scheme) besides the overpriced $1,000 model by Overland Models? Please and thank you. :)

There were only 7 of them built, so not a lot of incentive for a mfg to jump on this one. The frame and running gear are exactly the same as the SD40-2F, so you should be able to "kitbash" your own for well under the $1,000.00 Overland is looking for.

Six of them were cut up.  Sad to say I saw three of them.  Two were down to the frames, one was whole, waiting for the start.
