Title: shell removal

      I have recently purchased a digital commander set.Included were a Sante Fe FT-A and a Sante Fe GP40.I would like to remove the shells to lubricate the two units,however, Bachmann , does not give instructions on how to remove shells.Help would be appreciated, don`t want damage anything.Thanks.

On the FT it is best to remove the couplers first. Then there are 4 screws in deep holes around the fuel tank. These are Philips. The shell should then lift off.

No sure on the GP40 but i would remove the coupler first then the fuel tank might hold the shell on.

Dear Poppy,
To remove the GP-40 shell you must first pry off the fuel tank cover. This will reveal the two screws that hold the shell on the frame.
