Hey Sheldon,

It's been a while, hope everything's OK.  It'll probably a while before I get anything new up.
At a loss as to what to do next.  That's the norm for me.
looking forward to seeing any updates you may have and the sooner the better.

Here with a couple of pics of the progress I'm making.

Still a bit of 'fine tuning' and blending in the edges...

More to follow.

Ask them if they' allow you to work from home.
You never know until you ask.

HO / Re: 1980s Flying Scot Set HO or OO

I found this string quite interesting.  Enough so that I found this.

https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/blogs/whats-the-difference-between-oo-and-ho-scale-or-gauge

It appears that only similarity of the two is the track gauge.  The distance between the rails.

HO "SCALE" is 1/87
OO "SCALE" is 1/76.2

So, OO "SCALE" (using HO  scale track) would actually be a 'narrow gauge'.

Finally arranged other abandoned buildings on the same spur as the "mystery" building.

There's going to be a small parking lot for 'mystery' employees as well, being
since I just added all those crossings to have access to it.

I still have a bit of leveling and filling in to do.

More to follow.

HO / Re: HO engines keep derailing

I don't have any EZ track  nor that particular engine.  I did have the same problem with a
brass caboose.  Turns out, the screw for the rear truck was backing out enough to 'drag' over
crossings and closure rails causing it to derail.

Thanks Terry.  I believe the best of this hobby is impressing an impressive audience !

Got a few new things this time around.

Anybody know what the purpose of a "Blind-end caboose" ?  I thought it was interesting.

Another brass import caboose:

Last but not least, one with interior and running lights.

Thanks for looking, more to follow.

Edit:  Somehow there was a problem with "disappearing photos" and I had to
       re-upload them.

I remember them being called "transformers".  I believe that was even before
"Power Packs".

Thanks, Sheldon.  Those decals that you used on that kit look pretty nice too.
Are they pre-weathered or did you do that ?  I use pictures that I cut from my wifes many
magazines.  I sand the back-side so the printing doesn't show through.  I use white glue
to attach them to my wood structures.

Here's what I've been doing for the last month or so...more scenery.

That's pretty much it for now, more to follow.

You've really got a nice looking 'crossing' scene going there.
Are the signs decals, or what ?  They look hand-painted in 1/87scale

The signs look great.  Now take some 220 grit sandpaper, or finer, and lightly sand over the
signs.  That'll give them a nice weatgered look.

Also:  The previous "yard office" you put up, is that an AMB product ?

Found it on Youtube.  Search "Peacemakers".  Pilot episode at the 1:20 minute mark.
Wish I knew how to 'cut and paste' videos.

Hi Terry, I believe I saw that same episode.  It was on about my bedtime and didn't stay
up to watch the entire episode though.

Do you remember a limited run series starring Tom Beringer (sp) called "The Peacemaker"?
It may have been just "Peacemaker" without "THE".  The opening scene of every episode showed
a Shay pulling into the station.  It's been a while but it could've been ten or twenty years
ago.
