N / Re: Not your standard Christmas Tree Train

  Hey,
Your on the site of the the manufacturer of that ill-fated design. It was not a very
practical idea, at least for a mass market product that would/was used by the
general non-modelrailroader public. You as a model railroader can make it (the idea)
work with a little trial and error.
I think the sets used an early version of the eztrack and was only a circle that
would have set midlevel on the average (6'-8') Ctree. All this is from my fading
memory but I believe I am close. Good Luck and show us some pics,

For something like that B unit your best bet will be a Trainshow and swapmeet or Ebay

N / Re: Bachmann "Lifetime Warranty" and DD40AX ?!?!

   James in Fl,
YOU had no right to say anything about my parents, or the how I was raised I don't believe you even have a dog in this race and you must not have read my response to Bach man. Its CNW4ever that was having the problem and caught my attention.
Perhaps I should not have said "Class action as humor and satire to not translate well on computers However I would still expect Bachmann to stand behind their products, wether I bought it 6months ago or 15 yrs ago I am with CNW and would still like to know what he has been told at these places he attended.
JAMES, in the imortal words of Happy Days...Sit on It!!!!

Mr. Bach-man,
I fear you you misinterpreted my post. After finding this thread about the engine, I may have jumped the gun BUT it led me to believe that I may have a defective engine(With my luck this will be the case!!). I would not be trying to get an "updated/new" version Unless that was the only option. I just want a DD40AX to run on my layout! I will be checking out my present DD40 as soon as possible and I just want to know what CNW had found out. Thank you for your response so I guess now I'll ask what my options are from your company if I do indeed have a bad engine? Also I have two Ford vehicles that have had recalls on them. Ford did not replace them with "new" Vehicles But replaced the defective parts, That would be what I would hope Bachmann would do with these engines!
   Thanks again Gary W.

   Hello,
This thread caught my eye and forced me to register. I bought one of the original DD40AX's about 15 years ago to go with my BigBoy, I have never had it out of the box and after reading CNW's problem I have to wonder and am assuming that I have the same problem Mine has never been out of the box and run. So I guess my question is  Will Bachmann do something now or should we get a class action suit going or ????
CNW let us know what you have found out soon please!!!!
                         Thanks Gary W.
