Title: Toby
Post by: AndyJB on November 18, 2012, 07:31:06 PM
Does Toby do anything other than pull Henrietta?
To make life simple I figured I could permanently couple the 2 together and place the decoder and speaker in Henrietta.

He pulls trucks, milk, etc. But the Henrietta idea sounds fine. :)

there might be enough room in Toby for both the decoder and speaker, depending on size. what decoder do you plan on using? i have a digitrax DH123 decoder in my Toby and it has room left, if i plan to put in a speaker.

Go to the different DCC manufacturer's site. The decoder sizes are there as well as speakers.
Litchfield Station, a very good on line DCC company spells out the decoder sizes also.
A little research will minimize buying the wrong item if you have not DCC installs before.
Are you using a Digitrax sound decoder with a different DCC system or a Digitrax DCC control system?

Also, A Tsunami Micro or LokSound Micro are both quite small. I have used both.

Thanks guys, I'm going with Digitrax as the main controller but thus far I have not purchased anything.

Keep things in persecutive.  About $50.00 to $130 for sound decoder and speaker, depending on the brand.
For no sound. About $20.00.
