Sodor Perfection' is right. It's a bit early to start thinking up ideas for more engines/accessories in the range just yet, don't you think? I mean, Duck and the Twins haven't come out yet. I'd like to see what people think of them before we think of any more to add.

Having said that, I think, because of the newer characters being released, The Iron twins and Jeremy here, I think we'll see someone from one of the newer series join the range soon. Not sure of who that would be, but a newer character definitely.

If not, then I see Oliver and Toad coming to the range. Oliver being a classic character, and the last of the numbered engines( aside Harvey, Belle, and the newer engines..), and Toad being the companion that would be bought up quick by everyone who wants to own the 'Western Pair' together. That and they have the moulding for his prototype, that shouldn't be too hard to make.

I'm not sure if I see BoCo or Daisy any time soon, but the former I'd like a lot.

We'd most likely get a new truck or van after TT#4, maybe one would be returned to production? Like that blue van.

Everyone else's LS ideas seem alright to me. I see Diesel or Eddie coming up next myself, if the range continues to sell well.

Annd... that's it, really.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Birthdays?

I was born April 21st.
Just think, I'll be 21 next month on the 21st. Wonder how else that number will come up?

Not sure if I already asked, too lazy to go back and check :P

Do you guys thing Arry and Bert will be gritty and grimy like they've been portrayed recently, or do you think they'll look clean, like Salty, Mavis, and Diesel have before them?

I imagine weathering the twins after their purchase wouldn't be to hard. Dirty up their coupling rods, dust up their frames, at a touch of oil splatter, and they're good to go. :)

How do you mean?
In the one shot that shows Emily, she is asleep, and it's a bit hard to tell what's going on with her face anyway.

Caitlyn and Connor's faces look a little odd to me, just because of the shape of the front of their bodies. They do have interesting color schemes, and it seems Caitlyn has coaches..? Wonder what that is about.

Nice to see that Stephen will be attempting actual work. That can't be the cause of him disappearing in the movie, though. Might be something about the 'Crown of Sodor', or whatever the merchandising calls it.

The castle drawbridge looks like it has narrow gauge track on it. For Millie, I would assume. I don't imagine we'll be seeing any of the other narrow-gauge engines up at Ulfstead Castle, but I would think Millie would make an unexpected trip to the BMQ or something in the future.

Anyone see Jack move about just before the drawbridge scene in the trailer? Maybe he'll be doing a lot more come the special..!

Rather excited for this one. Can't wait to see what else is in store for it.

No kidding, Zorran202?
I'm 20 too!

I'll be 21 around April, though.

I would love to see someone remake 'Thomas to the Rescue', when Arry and Bert are released. It would be a simple and easy remake to do, though I think whoever tries it should use a 'dummy' Thomas model, without the motor, so the motor doesn't get damaged by simulated rock fall.

I'd love for someone to re-create 'Middle Engine'. That would be a real treat.

What about the rolling stock? They look good too.

It is nice to have another wagon in the range. Why they'd pick the Raspberry syrup tanker, I haven't the slightest, but the color's nice. I am glad that blue truck has made it's way to the range. Imagine how nice it would look with that coal load from the green truck...

Toby is a welcome surprise to the Large Scale Range. He fits the size range we were expecting, and would fit in well with the other engines.
I'm surprised by how many engines from Thomas' branch have been made. I almost expect Mavis to make an appearance in the range next. Almost.

I don't see Lady or Diesel 10 being made into HO, much less Large Scale any time soon. They're not as popular as the engines introduced thus far, they've appeared very little, only in movies/specials, and even then, rarely; Diesel 10's gimmick claw would be hard to manage, small parts and all..

I see engines like Edward, Mavis, Diesel, even Gordon and Henry with more of a chance making their way into the Large Scale range than those two. Still, if you think there should be a HO/OO Diesel 10 or Lady, that's what scratchbuilding is for. It has been done before, and rather well by many I must say.

I wonder if Henrietta will join Toby in the Large Scale range. Toby already has a variety of trucks to choose, but it wouldn't feel right without his little orange companion rolling along behind him...

Thomas & Friends / Re: Favorite Thomas Charecter?

I like:
Edward, because he is kind and wise.
James, because he's flashy and I like his paint.
Oliver, because of his adventurous nature.
Duck, because he's a hard worker.
Diesel, because he is sneaky and mischievous, and because of that voice Carlin gave him. Oooh boy!

I have a lot of other favorites, but I can't seem to list them all right now. I imagine if I did, and listed all the reasons, they'd take up a whole page here.

While I can see Spencer's special coach being pulled around by others, it is a shame to loose the Express Coaches.

I see Bachmann UK has some lovely Blood-and-Cream coaches that could work in the Express Coaches's place, but not everyone can get their hands on them so easily. Hmm.

I hope the Express Coaches make a return back to the range someday. We shall miss them dearly.

They really had silver side rods? Wow, didn't know that.
You learn something new every day!

I wonder if their faces will be exactly like the CGI promotional shots, or if they'll be different from one another somehow.
I noticed one of the twin's faces in a DoTD screenshot, and I think it would work well.
It's the one all the way to the left, here:

It's got the smile, but it's not so 'butterflies and 'daisies' like the faces in the promo shots, and I like that.
I think we're still going to see the promotional picture faces on the final models, but it is something I wanted to get out there.

Anyone think the Iron Twins will be gritty and scuffed up like on TV, or do ya think they'll be clean and 'shiny'?

I'd prefer seeing the coupling rods in black, or in a grimy dark grey, as that's how I've always seen them.
However, if Bachmann decides to make them silver, that'll be alright, and a simple fix for those wanting black anyway.

I wonder if they will be clean in appearance, like Salty was, or if they'll be 'dirtied up' a bit, as seen on TV. Most likely the former will happen, but one can only hope!

That would be "Hero of the Rails".

When Diesel arrived on the scene, we all knew it wouldn't be long before the Ironworks pair followed. Now they're coming into the station, along with our favorite Western Engine, and everyone's abuzz with the news.

I imagine Arry and Bert would be an easy make- just remove the ladders from Diesel, give them new coat of paint and new faces, add the stubble to one of the pair and behold- the twins!

I'm glad they're coming. I have no doubt in my mind that they will utilize CGI faces, but will they be happy and smiling like in the promotional pictures, will they have mischievous grins about them, or sulky, cross faces this time around?
Not many of the Thomas models from the range have a face that isn't cheerful-looking, so I'll expect the former of the choices then.

I can already see a number of remakes coming.. "Halloween" and "Middle Engine" stand out in my mind, as does the "Calling All Engines" fight scene. That ought to be exciting!

I believe it's "A Bad Day for Sir Handel"?

And actually-

Is it "The Spotless Record"?

"I tried to warn you about the viaduct. Why didn't you pay attention?"

it was breakvan
That was "Haunted Henry". Specifically, it's Old Bailey's first line.

"Botheration! That means I'll be late!"

I imagine the Red Express Coaches would have looked best behind Duck. Maybe those blood and cream coaches mentioned on the last page would do the job too?

Shame the Express Coaches are gone(for now, I hope they return or are retooled soon). Wonder what will fill their place?
