hello Everyone

I think it is time we said think you to Bachmann Industries for the excellent way the average modeller can now enter the narrow gauge model scene in a non expencive way. We will all want different types of motive power and rolling stock to suit our personal taistes, but for Bachmann to do that would be a huge undertaking and make the models very expencive.Being Australian anything remotely like the VR narrow gauge would be a plus ( puffing Billy ) but reality says no, and the products by Bachmann are excellent for kit bashing or just good as they are.
So my point is the overall way the choose the models is diven by economics and sale ,and they have covered almost everthing from small industrial th larger motive power. So who knows we may get a 4-6-0 , hiesler, garret or a mallet but it may just take time.
Lets enjoy the stuff we have and wait and see what other surprises the Mr Bachmann has in the bag or planning stage

A happy Modeller

It will be interesting to see what else Mr Bachmann has hidden in the cupboard?

Hello every one! What a surprise to see this little gem! Thans to all who have submitted photos and links for this outstanding Model.
On close inspection of the photos it does appear to be Bachmanns!
So Mr Bachmann could you please shed a little light on it for us please. And is it going to be available and if so roughly when could we expext one?

Hi Everyone

Thanks for the help with the decoders ;) A freind of mine here had the same problem and using the Dcc page on the bachmann site there is a pdf of in structions on th plug witch for the first timer like me is great!
He then noticed on the PC board in the Locomotive tender Numbers 1 and 8 inscribed. ( well done Bachmann ) so it was then simple. ;D
Again thanks all. Happy modelling

Hi Everyone

Good idea ebtnut, every narrow gauge Rail road / way has room for a garrett. They fit with just about any prototype. Example is here in Australia where Baldwin built 2-6-2t 30 inch gauge worked side buy side with a heavy 2-6-0 0-6-2 outside frame monster. One of which is restored to working order with its Baldwin friends at Puffing Billy in Melbourne. So count me in for one ! :D  :D

hello

Great ideas and many proto types to choose from. I myself like the southern pacific type with either a whale back or standard tender. My be a Hawaiian ten wheeler? One thing is for sure we wont all agree on the proto type but a nice ten wheeler would be great

Hello everyone

Just had a thought ,Mr Bachmann has the company given any thought to a larger Diesel Loco to the range? Maybe a GE 70 tonner  like the ones Southern Pacific used on their narrow gauge opperation.Just a thought.

And a merry Christmas to all where ever you are from Down Under ;D
