I know I will need a 1k ohm resister but can some tell the proper wattage for the resister? 

Is it ok to run two locomotives together? would it over load the power pack? I'm using the standard one that comes in the Bachmann galaxy set.

Thank you to every one that has replied to my ? This seems to be the most adult  respectful forum I have been on. I 'm hooked on this new train hobby. My lay out is very different from the norm, Its a mix of HO train , an HO slot car road course and an HO slot car drag strip. I'll post some pics in the next week or so. Thanks I have been reading on some other places and Tyco seems to have a bit of a bad rap. I love the Tyco slot cars, I have over thirty in my collection. Looks like sticking with the Bachmann trains stuff for now is going to be the easiest way to get rolling.

Will Tyco cars couple up with my Bachmann cars and locos? yea I'm just getting started lots to learn LOL Thanks in advance.

 I just bought a Bachmann Galaxy HO Scale Electric EZ Track Train set. waiting for it to come in the mail, can some one tell me if the transformer will have an AC outlet for hooking up switches? Thanks James Scott
