Title: Bachmann GP38-2
Post by: NSguy on December 15, 2015, 10:40:43 AM
I bought a Bachmann GP-38-2 at Milwaukee Train Fest.  I thought it was DC due to the low price.  Now that I have removed the shell to upgrade to DCC (with NCE Bach-dsl decoder) I see that the circuit board (#R H633Y-PCB01) has a NMRA 8 pin plug-in and LED lights. Is this unit really DCC ready with out further modifications (other than decoder)?

If it's already got the 8 pin plug, then yessir.....go for it. Plug in your decoder of choice and have fun.

I checked it out with a Digitrax DH126P and it worked like a champ! Now I have a NCE BACH-DSL decoder for a spare. Thanks Sid
