I second Railexpert's suggestion that anyone interested in On30 purchase a copy of the On30 Annual. I have read the print off my copy of the 2012 issue; and have ordered the 2013. Within its pages, you will get to see the 'best of the best' - and the inspiration provided makes the purchase price well worth

There are several of the published on30 annual contributors posting here. http://www.railroad-line.com/

Under the on30 topics. And also active micro construction threads.

I have one person I know that had a gear split but they removed it and they let the side rods power the other set of wheels, But that is one of a 100+ units that I know owners of that had an issue. I think the Davenports were one of the most sound units that have been produced.

Any chance you will ever do any WhitePass & Yukon trains in ON30?
You have them in G so someone must buy the stuff.
Anyone else interested?

Very interesting, was the Porter they sent back DCC? What was wrong with the Davenport a spit gear?
I have not seen many Davenports for sale lately I wonder if they are in for a retooling and the available stock is all gone? I have a few still in unopened boxes.

I have some and they negotiate the 7.5" radius curves on my mining micro fine.
Pulling the cars will be a little better than pushing the cars.
