HO / Re: 5 amp Boosters

So got booster.
Good thing Hunt gave diag because Bachmann does not.
I have the Dynamis IR Pro system. What's the hookup for that.
There is no program track connection available with the EZ Command Booster.
Do I still use the same output source from the Dymanis for programming and also to the booster?
You tube for this shows runaway situations.

Today would have been my nephew and highly decorated American hero Mark A Stets jr's 47th birthday were it not for his loss in Pakistan Feb 3 2010. Please remember him today and next month also, as well as all of those other Soldiers who fallen in the name our shared freedom.

Will the E-Z Command 5 a booster work on a DYNAMIS PRO system?
Is a BOOSTER a BOOSTER?

HO / Spectrum passenger trucks

Are replacement trucks actually available for Spectrum passenger cars as seen when googling Bachmann diecast ho passenger trucks as seen in pic #1 of Images. Pic shown has correct truck and power connection wire. When clicked on you are sent to shop bachmann com page with only freight trucks at the bottom of the page.
How else could they be listed if still available?
What about replacement isolated wheel sets for same? My used cars are really USED and one end of the axles are blunted and one side of the truck is worn oval as the cars must have only gone in a circle one way for years!

RAM

That is correct, but where are they found?
Not in replacement parts from Bachmann, that is why the question about the wheel sets.
I can scavenge the rods from the set or just replace the wheel set as a whole unit if they are compatible.

HO / HO 4-8-4 wheel set swaps

My Niagara's have need of replacement connecting bars as they now have very ovaled ends.
These parts are N.A. for the Niagara, nor is the whole wheel set avail.
Will wheel sets from any of the other 4-8-4's swap out?
Is the wheel center spacing the same?
Are the wheel dia's. the same?
Are the bar lengths matching and interchangeable?
Are just the wheel types the difference, spoked vs Scullen?

Thanks

richiy,

Yes, some wear expected, but these engines are just a few years old. I have Rivarossi's 40 + years old and their assemblies are still tight and true.
Soft steel and no bearings.

So Both of my DCC ho 4-8-4 Niagara's drive rod sets, all 12, are taking a dump. I run my trains a lot but come on!
They have both ovaled the rod ends to where the slop makes them struggle on turns and just about useless at slow speed,
Guess what, no parts, no chassis , no rods. SOLD OUT of the only things that ware out!
Still an active seller all over the internet, my local hobby store has one!
What other engines can be scavenged for these parts or are these now "shown on the shelf only" units?

HO / Re: Upgrading DCC loco to sound

richiy

Isn't that a total replacement decoder for the one that is in there?
Is there just a sound module available that "adds" or piggy backs on to the motor and lite controller to give sounds at a more reasonable cost?
Will I have to replace all the installed decoders rather than add on "something" to get sounds?

Are we in some kind of test market?
Seems like a pretty poor business plan to me.
Promise but don't deliver, and when improved make unavailable. Is this good brand marketing?
What kind of back door deals are the dcc manufacturers up to??
I won't sell there if you don't sell here??
I like the system it works for me but I cannot involve my computer and all the software available for DCC out there into my layout and locomotives.
Can't be shipping charges.
If you can't ECONOMICALLY upgrade why get involved with these "empty promise" products in the first place?
I may be forced to go local.

So is it now 6 years since the upgrades were announced?
Has it occurred?
Is there Pro to PC interface available yet?
