Last year I bought a rotary cutter with intent of making this cab awning out of brass wire; an ancient cotton handkerchief; and fabric paint.
While PRR 4-6-0 doesn't need them, note air tank and sand box under cab of 2-8-0, which is in Kalmbach's Steam Locomotive Cyclopedia. This copy is around 30 years old, I don't know if it is still in print.

Alright it worked! With some 1/32 brass tube and .032 wire she's now got lube lines to valves and also free-standing sand pipes. Molded on pipes were carved off before painting boiler.
Eventually will extend sand pipes down to bottom of front driver where they should end.
Also visible is control rod and lever for sand dome.
Photo is a bit fuzzy but it still works.

With 3/32 copper tube got whistle mounted to side of stem dome.
Put piece of styrene rod inside tube before bending to keep it from collapsing at bend.
Bent with help of KaDee coupler trip-pin bending pliers for their HO couplers.
Then cut section of tube to size.
Had to drill out plastic with a bit in a pin vise to get whistle in.
Had to file down whistle stem just a bit.
Drilled dome with a 3/32 bit in a pin vise for press-fit with tube.
Will paint copper tube green like dome.
Now, to come up with or make another pop valve for dome to go where whistle came out. Hmm . . .

Don't know if whistle pull would more realistically be rope or rod. Decided to go with rod from brass wire.
