Large / Re: 2020 Big Hauler Upgrades and New Paint

We're also missing any ET&WNC locomotives from the roster current lineup. The ET&WNC's Ten Wheelers are based off of, so I am rather disappointed to see they're not adding an ET&WNC engine to the roster.

Large / 2020 Large Scale offerings...
February 21, 2020, 08:51:54 PM
Dear Mr. Bach-Man.
I've went through the 2020 catalog just today, and I must say that I am very disappointed with the Large Scale offerings this year. In my eyes, the large scale range is a shell of what it once was. The only thing I was happy to see was the addition of Diesel to the Thomas the Tank Engine items, but that's about it. Everything else was just kind of a letdown. So, I'm going to explain what I had particular issues with:
•The DCC-Equipped Thomas the Tank Engine seems to have been discontinued, with Percy now being the only engine with DCC fitted. I was honestly hoping see another DCC-Equipped Engine, such as Toby.
•The roster of starter sets is literally the saddest thing on the planet. All we have is the Ringling Bros. L'il Big Haulers Set, The North Woods Logger, and the Night Before Christmas Set. Every other set, including the Percy Set, have seemed to have the way of the dodo. I don't seem to understand the logic of discontinuing the Thomas starter set, as Thomas is the one character EVERYBODY wants for their layouts, and yet, we can only get Thomas as a separate sale item.
•The Motive Power Department is severely lacking. We are lacking some of the quintessential engines, such as the Shay, Outside-Frame 2-8-0, 44-Tonner, Gas-Powered "Diesel", etc...
•Rolling Stock is even more lacking, as our selection seems severely limited compared to what we had in previous years.
Bachmann, I really desire to see more from your G Scale Line. You're the leading manufacturer of G-Scale Narrow Gauge Equipment. I desire to see you give us a little more thah what we currently have.

Mr. Bach-Man,
I'm actually rather disappointed with the announcement. We're lacking an ET&WNC roadname, since the ET&WNC's Ten Wheelers are what the Big Hauler 4-6-0s are Based off of. Will you PLEASE release one with an ET&WNC paint scheme?

Howdy there. In a little bit, I plan to overhaul my Bachmann Big Hauler from the 90033 "Tweetsie Railroad" Train Set. However, I was curious of the generation of my version of the set, as it's the one that comes in this box: Does anybody know what generation of Big Hauler is in the Tweetsie Set? Also, I plan to fit a Gen 6 "Annie" Chassis to the locomotive, using the chassis from 81088, only swapping out the cylinders and pilot. Can anybody give me a walkthrough how to fit one to my engine?

Mine are early version 2 and 3.  I had to isolate the motor wires and the headlight wires.  I added power pickups to the tender to help with going through some brands of turnouts.  I pulled out the sound unit in the tender.  I used the speaker in the tender for the sound.

The decoders I used had chuff pins and I used the existing chuff circuit in the locomotive.

Oh, I have a Generation 5 Big Hauler, it probably wouldn't work.

There are many ways of doing it.

I put mine in the tender and added an additional connector for the power pickup, motor power, and front headlight wires.

That's where I want to put mine as well. So how do I do it properly?

Hello there. Alright, So I have plans to refurbish my old Bachmann 5th Generation Big Hauler, and I want to equip it with a SoundTraxx 2 DCC Sound Board. How do I fit it so it can work to it's fullest potential?
