Title: Decoder install, 80 ton three truck shay
Post by: slufoot on July 17, 2012, 01:57:14 PM
I just acquired a Bachmann 80 ton, three truck Shay in mint condition. It has a DCC 8-pin plug in the water bunker. I want to add a decoder. Anyone have any suggestions? Might do a sound decoder if there is room. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

For no sound, plug in a DZ125PS decoder. Good for 1 amp and two lights.

For sound, look at the below site. They show the decoder and speaker part numbers.

Just remembered, cut out any capacitors for better slow speed running.
