Title: E-Z Track Turntable - Indexing?
Post by: tbdanny on January 18, 2012, 10:04:57 PM
Hi all,

I'm considering purchasing the E-Z track turntable, and I was just wondering how the indexing/track alignment is handled?  Is it possible to have this turntable 'skip' a track without having the turntable stop there?

Regards,

Dear Danny,
The turntable indexes automatically, and can't skip a stop.
Have fun!

Most model turntables are designed to index by halting motion for a little bit at each point so humans, who lack split-second reactions, can take their fingers off of the button with the turntable properly indexed. Indexing can certainly be done without such design but it would need to be more complicated and it would be more likely to go out of djustment than a table with a pause at each track.
