General Discussion / Re: Attaching Track

Hey All,

As usual the Bach-man is right. I pick-up my copy of the On30 Annual at:  http://www.greenfieldnewsandhobby.com/catalog-new2.html    in mid January or early February. as a rule I call ahead to make sure they have it in before I drive the 45 min. with gas at $3.25ish it almost doubles the price.

Enjoy,
  Barry

P.S. Looking forward to seeing & reading about more of your fine work Bach-man.

Hey BJ102,
You can run your trolley on an HO track with a stanbard transformer
With no modifications or problems. I Do this sometimes to just let them unwind.

On30 / Re: Convertible Coach/Observation Car
September 03, 2013, 12:08:37 PM
Hi nzreg,
Welcome to the wonderful world of On30.
Bachmann made 4 different Jackson & Sharp passenger cars. The Coach, Combination Mail/passenger,
Observation with the observation deck off the back, and the 2-door baggage cars. The observation car is only available from the On30 sets. A lot of the early sets do not have a 2-door baggage car in that road name. This car was released after these liveries were discontinued.
Hope this info is helpful.

Enjoy,

Jarosz,
Welcome back to "the worlds greatest hobby".
I think you might try hooking both turn outs to the same switch.
This will throw both at the same time if that is what you wanted.
Enjoy,

Bj102,
Your trolley will run on any loop of track.
It will be under that controllers use to make the stops and adjust speed.

Enjoy,

Just 1 more "Helpful Hint" Coupling and un-coupling is best done on a straight piece of track, not on a curve.

I use only EZ magnets. The real trick is to make sure you do not have forward tension on the coupler as NO magnet will release a tight coupler. There must be slack or no tension on the coupler for any magnet to work properly. Take the time to do it right as most people try to rush every thing these days.

Slim,

Try Southside Trains at 3979 South Howell Ave. just a little north of the airport. Phone 414-482-1566. Tom just moved there from a further south location he had been in for a few years.    http://www.southsidetrains.com/
If you are on the north west side of town try Summerfeldts in Butler.    http://www.sommerfelds.com/

General Discussion / Re: Which train for Dickens village
December 20, 2012, 12:58:54 PM
TK,
A few yyears ago dept 56 bldg had  last commisioned Bachmann to do On30 Trains for them. They were very pricey but did look really good, nicely detailed great colors... hard to find as out of production a few years. Occasionally e-bay will have one. I would (and do also run) On30 around my village and also have an On30 trolley running through town. Looks great.

Enjoy,

B65,

I think the red brick barn is the older version and the cream city brick barn is the new version.
