Title: Problem with Diesel engine
Post by: Roaddog on July 28, 2012, 09:18:26 PM
Got a new set that included the GP40 Union pacific 866. Was told that it hadn't been opened since the 80's. On track, some lights work but it will not go at all. Looked at the diagram and it says there are 2 screws under the fuel tank but on this one there are no screws. Can't figure out how to open it up to check things out. Please help if anyone knows!

if no screw in the fuel tank, spread the air reservoirs and drop the frame like the old athearn BB.  Have a spectrum gp35 that opens like the old Athearn bb.  But my gp30's and sd45's have screws holding the fuel tank on then 2 more screws holding the frame to the body   Phil
