Title: EZ Track spiraling radius MUST WATCH
Post by: Jerrys HO on March 14, 2014, 12:15:15 PM
I would love to find out this guy's formula he used.
Careful, watching this video is hypnotizing.

Some people have just too much time on their hands.

Jerry,
  So how many cars did you count?
  Ha-ha.

Enjoy,

Not to rain on anyone's picnic, but did anyone check out that "MA&G" mike?

I watched the video too long and started to cluck like a chicken.

It gets old in no time.  I watched about half of it.  That was enough.

Dear All,

That'$ a lot of track.

Betcha HLR is smiling.

Looks like quite a math challenge.

I was actually thinking about doing something similar:

Calculating and cataloging 90 degree turns (which would mirror to 180 degrees) built with various radii E-Z Track curves.

You would start out with one radius at 0 and 180 degrees, but have a different one halfway through at 90 degrees.

You could then build a spiral by piecing together 90 degree curves that start out at one radius, then 90 degrees later

finish at 1/4 the track spacing longer.  EZ Peasy?

You may all wake up now.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

AGSB- yes they do, but I bet it was fun to do on a rainy day or snowed in. :D

Big Bear- ahhhh 1,2,3,60,34,18 what????

JBrock- not freaky, mesmerizing! ::)

RichC- where? where? I watched the hole thing and did not see the MA&G Mike. ::)

jonathan- you are so right... way to long! chicken?  ???

Morgun- take your time, I am in no hurry. ;D

Ram- you should have watched more, it really get's better. ;)

Trainbrain- 9 engine's 241 hopper's. ::)  try and speed match 9 loco's. :'(

Joe-  if you do try it they will probably commit you the next day! ;D

Enough with the smiley face fun, did anyone notice the dog on the couch? I don't think he was amused but a cat may have had fun. ::)
The main thing I was trying to figure is the geometry (if that's what you would call it) of the radius. I know EZ track does not have that many different radius's. To get them so symmetrical is a challenge.

Jerry
One more... :-*
