Title: repowering units
Post by: Woody Elmore on August 09, 2008, 06:46:35 PM
I was looking at the La Belle Woodworking website and they have a spudlike power unit (HO) that could be useful for repowering. The company is in Australia and the website is www.hollywoodfoundry.com. Just looking at the pictures of their products in use which they have posted is interesting.

I have one of them, custom sized to replace a missing Athearn gear-drive RDC truck.  Nicely done truck and drive.  Called the "Bull Ant"  gj

Pretty impressive line of power parts, I'll have to check them out when I have time.

The motors must be from a local manufacturer, I'm used to seeing "Mabuchi" on just about all of them. Too bad there isn't a state side distributor or supplier.

I wonder how the drive's speed and power compares to Bachmann.
