I have an outside mainline on a 4X8 layout with 22 degree curves, I an adding a LH and a RH remote turn out on one end cutting the oval a little shorter to access a foundry and some factiries the problem is all the turn outs I have been able to find in EZ track are the equilvelant of 18 dregrees. Do I use 4-18 degree curves and cut a piece of EZ track to make up the difference or do I stay with 22 degree curves on the a8 degree turn out and custom cut the inner 2 curves?
Dear Blizzard,
22" outside radius with an 18" radius early cutoff will need a middle straight section 8" long. 3" + 3" + 2" is one combo that would work.
Other configurations are possible, however, using a minimum radius of 22" and #5 turnouts would need more than 4 feet of layout width.
Download and use Anyrail.com, which is a free (for the first 50 track pieces) layout CAD program. Fun and easy to learn.

Here's a list of Bachmann curves:
15"Radius-30degree
18"R-30deg
18"R-15deg
18"R-10deg
22"R-22.5deg
22"R-11.25deg
26"R-18deg
28"R-18deg
33.25"R-18deg
33.25"R-12deg
33.25"R-6deg
35.5"R-18deg
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
