General Discussion / Re: Dynamis DCC
January 11, 2010, 08:54:35 PM
Tech support never got back to me so I bought a Digitrax system after work.  Have played with it the last few hours and its pretty awesome.  I am going to send the Dynamis system back.

General Discussion / Re: Dynamis DCC

I am having the same problem.  Mine worked OK for a few days.  Its a brand new unit.  During those first few days it would often get a weak signal though.  Now I can't get it to connect at all. Every now and again the signal will go up to max for a second or two, otherwise it has no bars.  I am in a 10X13 room with basically nothing in it but me and the dynamis system. No walls or partitions or anything.  Won't work at 1', won't work at 10'.   I put a call into Bachman, finally ended up with somebodys's voicemail "This is Rodney, leave a message".  Not too inspiring, I hope he calls me back lol

HO / What intervals to use power terminals?
January 10, 2010, 05:17:43 PM
I am building a layout using EZ Track.  I can't determine how many feet of track I can go before I need another power hookup.  Do I need to solder the tracks together?

HO / Re: DCC - Train stops often

Its not slowing down, its completely stopping.  The whole track turns off.  The light on the Dynamis system starts to blink.  Its all brand new track and equipment, 3 days old. Does it need to be cleaned when new?Does it maybe need to be broken in?

HO / DCC - Train stops often
January 08, 2010, 02:23:15 PM
I just bought a bunch of Bachmann stuff to start my layout.  I set up an oval with a couple of EZ-Command turnouts to figure thngs out.  I have the Dynamis system, 4 GP-35 Loco's, a SW1 switcher and some rolling stock.  I am using EZ Track.  When the train is going fast (3/4 throttle or more) around the layout the train works fine and runs continuously.  When Slow it down below 3/4 throttle it will stop in random places.  Sometimes over a turnout, sometimes in a curve, etc.  The slower I go the worse it gets.  My oval only has 18" of straits on each side, so its a small oval.  Is this to be expected or is it something I can troubleshoot and fix?
