Title: Removal of Diesel Cover
Post by: Beehive Bushwacker on February 08, 2010, 11:32:07 AM
Just into the hobby, and purchased an older Bachmann Plus F7B unit and wanted to remove the cover and look at the motor inside but don't know how to do so?  Don't want to break the cover...  Thanks ahead of time for your help...

It should come off pretty easily, it should be fairly straight forward. It is probably held on by little tabs on the bottom part of the shell and possibly by a couple of screws.

I opened up the sides and the engine did not fall out...  Seemed like it was not going to move from its position...

Looking from the bottom you will see 4 deep holes around the fuel tank ends. Use a phillips head to remove the small screws at the bottom of the holes. Body should lift off.
