True the camp cars were not up to snuff. A lot of weathering does help but still !
Everything else made in On30 has been pretty good so hopefully any new rr stuff will be nice.  I can wait as there is no other choice.

I'm down just past where the old berry fields used to be.  Oh ya right !  They are still there ! I'm across the street from the wheat fields and this is called Troutdale.

I'm not getting any younger so time is of the essence..

When pigs fly,  twelfth of never,  might be appropriate. Let's hope that is not the case.

It costs a lot of money to put on a show. Also for manufacters to attend these shows costs them many $$$.   Unless you care to donate some big bucks,  it just ain't going to happen.

Those might be interesting and a nifty find.

How about some other logging cars too ?
(Hint)   CABOOSE...  And where is that elusive Heisler ?

Since we are into the second quarter I was thinking we might have some word on new arrivals ...  Of course if nothing is in the offering, no money going out so that is a good thing.

On30 has a very small part of the train hobby and manufacturers have to figure what will sell so that they can make some money. SR&RL is a fine line to model but not everyone cares for that line. If I was investing $$ , I sure would not consider making every line and railroad equipment as some would be losers. Most On30 manufactures look at D&RGW and the logging items but the rest is a crap shoot..
Now what would you invest your  $$ in and sell ? I just might be interested !

Hobby shops have different outlooks on how they do business and one I had asked if they would special order an item that they did not carry. I told them that I would pay up front before ordering. They said that was fine BUT I would have to pay full retail. Needless to say, I never bought from them. Found someone else that was happy to make a deal and they did offer me a small discount.. Bought many other items from them since.

I think that many of those including me are probably hoping the second listing will be more to our liking.  And why not?  :)

General Discussion / Re: Who operates in....DC or DCC ?
February 10, 2007, 11:30:23 AM
Since I'm into On30, DCC is the thing as many engines come that way so to change to regular DC would be going backwards.

I vote DCC.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black !  Someone really needs a reality check and a spell checker too.... Hmmm, I wonder who/whom ?   ...

I guess we are happy that the spam might only be history from here out .. I do like Spam but only the editable type that comes in a metal tin.. ::)

Now how about that Heisler ? And a ---- and a ---- plus some -----....
