So I am going to revive some of my older equipment and actually put up a small oval on the rug  (I know I'll go to train hell for that)
Put some kind of plastic sheet under the track to help keep carpet fuzz from getting sucked around axles and in to gearboxes.
Even just a couple green lawn and leaf trash bags spread flat is enough.
Well, you'll certainly go around in circles, after that ...  ;D

Actual 30 inch gauge, well, within 2mm of it  ;D pretty cool.
0-8-0 are one of my favorite steam loco types.
And they did bring a few cords of wood. I wonder how much of the exhaust is smoke and how much is steam.
Nice scene there at 05:03 with track bending along with river bend.
Whoa, I didn't expect the firewood going in to firebox to be that large.

Watched a couple videos suggested at side of page.

and for us who don't - there's Google translate!

The Mocanita Moldovita or the steam train that transported earlier trees from the forest , and now brings tourists in droves into raptures. It is a tourist attraction in itself . From Moldovita ( Bucovina, Romania) you can make a very nice ride with the narrow-gauge train that has been restored to its former glory. Very worthwhile !

"Proto-no-power" dummies, hehehe! Though initially disappointing, that's a cool story and it sounds like there was a lot of fun had in the detailing them.

Looking at those two depots, wonder how many people have how many of that Atlas depot and that Rico depot, which the plastic kit of has changed hands several times, painted in how many different colors?
Last summer I picked up the Bachmann Plasticville switch tower kit in box from one of the second hand stores here in town. Plan is to fix it up with some window sashes cut open, a floor, a figure up there, and a light, and use it on home layout, just because.

They look good. Your colorful 4-6-0 brings to mind a photo in a book, somewhere over there on the shelf, where a little short line's little steamer is described as having green cab and bright orange lettering. Also noted was their caboose with a large chimney cap.
That's one of those things where you wonder why that has stuck so strongly in your memory.

Finish on GP20 looks good.

Way back in the 1970s I was doing military models with youthful zeal when my logic realized, "Hey! trains are models that do things!" and I was hooked.
Are no photos of it, and the model is gone, my first locomotive repaint in early 1980s was redoing a Bachmann Santa Fe F-unit for a freelance road in blue with white trim.

Hmm, I wonder if anyone makes lady engineer figures, so the engineer for Doris can be Doris?  :)

That was one of those questions where I already had answers from playing in Google and finding various forums: one example, "TRS2006 installs but doesn't work particularly well".

And then there is my messy health, the less I have to go through new computer things the better. Among the other things the situation causes is sometimes my body is difficult to get along with and there can be stretches of a couple days to a couple months that I can't work on hobbies, my body just won't do that for either the 3D or electronic trains. As it is there are about 1/3 of the days in a month where I have zero business trying to drive as either my physical coordination, or my ability to focus, are too far off; and, some days my hands simply won't grip the steering wheel.

The fewer hobby hassles the better. I'm already about 6 years behind where I could have previously been on both my part of the club layout and my little bitty layout at home.
But, hey, I am thankful to be able to still do model trains any at all.  :)

Question is, will my Trainz 2006 run on Windows 7?

It did  ;D Thanks Len! Ooo, that Grizzly Flats loco on cover is pretty.

Having a technical difficulty, without Flash support, can't download pdf catalog; Flash no longer supports Vista 64bit, only 32 bit.

And unless my Social Security Disability income suddenly triples, buying a new computer isn't an option.

Without seeing it in person, I have a hard time telling - and I'm no electronics whiz, only know what I've read in model train magazines.
Sometimes I've done similar by using too low a resistor.
Here while resting a moment right after getting in from grocery shopping, I think 470 ohm works for around 9 to 12 V power supply. Will have to go look at something to be sure.
LED typically are designed for 1.5V power supply, especially the LED we use in models.

To me, the soldering isn't that big a turnoff - but then again I'm also the kind of person who likes putting on model decals.  ;D

You'll have to wait a few seasons, but those spools of 220 or so LED Christmas lights for about $20 are what I've gotten. Depending on who carries which of the available options that year, warm white, cool white, round end, inverted cone end, 5mm, 3mm, and then color LED, are available.
Pretty sure I now have enough LED for life, even being used in both RR and space models; especially since my health is a mess and I'm very slow at things.

An outfit named Train Control Systems has bulk packs of resistors, 200 of a given rating, for around $9. Several guys at model RR club clued me in to that.

Now smoke would make sense in the GG1 with its oil fired boiler for providing steam for car heat.
Acela, however, as far as I know, has all electric utilities.

Makes sense. keep in mind that I haven't glued windows in that way - yet.
What I have done with the stuff is glue can motors in to several HO locos in the mid to late 1980s - and the motors still refuse efforts at removal - the one glued with GE's silver caulk and sealant, I think for mobile home roofs, doesn't appear to recognize that I even exist, let alone recognize my efforts to break the motor loose to use in a newer project.
