N / Rolling Stock History
March 02, 2009, 09:11:43 PM
Earlier in this forum I asked about how to get a feel for the age of Loco's and their quality. Now how about rolling stock. I have a Burlington high cube 41' box car smooth sides PN 5139 along with a dozen other cars with 4 digit PN's. Thanks for the help...Boxman

N / Buying old engines
February 27, 2009, 10:59:26 PM
When I see an older diesal engine for sale on ebay I don't know what I am looking at by just the Model # of Bachmann engine. For example: Lighted F9 Diesal PN 61550. Is there a chart telling me how old it is and a better description of what exactly is a F9 a long with other early model diesals Bachmann made. Any help would be great...Boxman

Walthers in Milwaukee has a train layout in their back room that has 600 feet of main line and has been continuously worked on for 32 years. They now have to tear it down because walthers needs the space. They will run the trains for the last time on Thusday nite the 26th of Feb between 7-10pm Boxman

N / Turnout Problems
February 06, 2009, 09:10:25 AM
I have 3 right hand turnouts. One is powered and two I switch manual. When my engines run through the non powered turnouts they get hung up. Sometimes coming and sometimes going. The little piece of track that switches seems to move a little when they go by. I have the manual swich pushed all the way over but they don't seem to lock. My powered switch has no problems. Any ideas. Thanks...Boxman
