Thomas & Friends / Re: the state of the forum
April 21, 2011, 04:47:51 PM
I've had an account on this forum for several years, and honestly I can say we've seen this before. It's not surprising. In my opinion it's the constant regurgitation of spam, redundant threads/messages (widely regarding messages overflowing with emoticons and grammatical symbols), acting absolutely childish, the drama (which needs to be left where it belongs- which isn't here), and just pointless posts that are only good for post-counts. I don't want to say it's the youngsters' faults, but the dome fits. By all means it's not very difficult to uphold some sort of forum etiquette, it would help keep the forums more organized and friendlier. And some users need to be able to accept constructive criticism, not bark back with hostility.

But in all actuality, you probably won't.

I wish I had the space for a layout for this kinda stuff. :(

Goodness me, what a gorgeous layout you have there! I'm seriously envious of what you have, you must have put a great deal of effort into this! Can't wait to see what else you do to make this almost-perfect layout even better!

Yes, as Jack said you should not start a new topic on the subject of asking who a character is. If you must, go to the Everything Thomas Topic.

And remember, Google is your friend  8)

I can tell you right now it won't be. It never came off in the series, did it?

...And uh, *ahem*, forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't he a plowing tractor?

Well, usually when you search for something on YouTube and no results come up then it probably means the video doesn't exist.

By the way, you don't have to use caps all the time.

I love ModelTrainStuff's prices, I was lucky enough to stumple upon them a couple years ago. I've been ordering exclusively from them ever since :D

Boxes would be much more convenient for moving and storage. Wouldn't it also cost less? Also, would styrophome be more protective when dropped or mishandled instead of hard plastic?

Not at all are you a broken record lol. To be honest, the voice for Percy really bugged me. But it kinda fit Percy's persona, and that was good. You could always do re-enactments of original RWS or TV series stories, perhaps even use the TV audio (Ringo, Micheal, George, etc).

If you think we're a lot of people who liked them, imagine those who've never even commented or been to any forums! If you ever need any voice work for Edward or any other character, I'm available! Hah, looks like as if you're some sort of celebrity to some people!

Speaking of modding the eye mechanism, anyone know exactly how to remove it? I've been disappointed with Percy's strength over the past few years and never knew exactly what to do. I figure the same could be done to James and make him a much more better engine.

By the way, I'm curious...
Does anyone think the Hornby Edward is superior to Bachmann Edward in any way?

Better late than never, I'm sure it'll turn out great once it's done. If only I had a mic I'd be more than happy to lend a helping hand!

Any idea when Episode 12 is due? I really admire your series for originality and the ability to shape original TV/RWS stories to your own liking. Good luck, though, on anything you desire your series to become.
