I was wanting to have a bridge at the top of a hill for my ho scale train. Do you have to use flexible track or can you angle the bachmann track up enough?

Does it help to have more than one engine, say one at the front and one in the middle or rear? Will that increase speed? I have a union pacific bachmann and i think i would like fast! thanks in advance for the expert advice i know will come.

Thanks. I know very little about trains except that i love'm, however i intend to rectify that shortly.  My time recently has been spent building wooden trains for my grandson. Again, thanks for the info.
