Title: 2-10-0 into 4-8-0
Post by: rrbob on July 03, 2014, 05:53:14 PM
Has anyone tried turning Bachmann's 2-10-0 into a 4-8-0 by removing the front driver and replacing the lead single axle with a two axle lead truck?
It looks like it would be possible.

rrbob-

Yes, it's possible, but I found it is easier to just count the wheels wrong than
to go through all the work of actually doing the conversion.

I like the Union Pacific Big Boys too but all I have is a B&O 0-4-0T.   Maybe if I try real hard I can just picture the 0-4-0T has more wheels!@    ;D

Sure it would be possible to convert the 2-10-0 to a 4-10-0 but it'll be a bit more work than simply switching the lead truck out ;D
