Title: Shay sound
Post by: J.A.M. on October 03, 2010, 04:06:07 AM
Hey Mr Bachman, I have a shay without sound and i was wondering if it was possible to buy the same chip that is used on the sound shay, as I would like them to match (as per the real thing).
Cheers :)

Hi there,
when you look for the Soundtraxx sound decoder /DSD (820062 DSD-B2TCLC  when my records do not fool me), this should work with a given Bachmann sound shay. Installation is a straightforward job, not that complicated.

I´m not sure if they are still in stock somewhere - when I got it right, they should be out ofof production at Soundtraxx Durango. The point is, you can´t buy the decoders as spares - hope I´m still right Mr. Bach man?

Cheers, Tom

You want  TSU-750 Tsunami -Light Logging (Model: 826020)

Be sure to secure it very well to the roof of the water bunker, as the metal will act as a heat sink to help keep the decoder cool.

This stuff should work nicely:
