Title: Village Street car will not travel to end of track.
Post by: sundance2011 on December 10, 2011, 03:38:54 PM
I have a Village Street car That I got in 2004. Pulled it out and set it up and the street car will not go to the end of the track. It comes out of the barn about 6", stops and goes back in the barn and keeps this cycle. ??? I have checked the track and there is voltage to the end and it switches as it should. If I sit the car on the track past 6" it does nothing. I'm thinking maybe the contacts in the car but why 6" I don't know as 6" would be several full rotations of the wheels. If it was a dead spot on a wheel due to dirt or something it would travel less than an inch I would think.

Any ideas on this? Is there a drawing (mechanical and electrical) of the car to help trouble shoot it and disassemble?

Thanks

Make sure the special end section of track is the last section of track on the run.

That was the problem.  ;D

Thanks
