N / Prairie and alco steam engines
October 31, 2017, 12:25:30 PM
I notice in the description of these smaller engines that it says works best with 11.25 radius curve. I have 11 inch radius atlas snap track. Will there be a problem?  Also will an e z mate coupler work well with an accumate  coupler?  Thanks. Paul

General Discussion / n curved switches
June 05, 2017, 05:55:54 PM
Who manufactures curved switches that would work well with Atlas code 80 snap track?  I want to use a curved switch to extend a yard lead track to put more cars in my yard.  Thanks Paul

N / Changing Roller Bearing Trucks
November 15, 2016, 09:08:50 PM
If I want to convert older Bachmann or Atlas cars from the 70's and 80's to knuckle couplers, how would I know if the replacements are 40, 50, 70, or 100 ton roller bearing trucks?  I want to make this as easy as possible without just changing the couplers to micro-trains.  Also do couplers from different manufactures work together well? Thanks for your help.  Paul

The picture for the locomotive in the online store shows it comes with rapido couplers.  I was wondering if it actually does and will it run well on Atlas code 80 snap track. Thanks Paul

N / Several questions
June 30, 2015, 08:14:31 PM
1.  Lets say I purchase a new loco that is equipped with dcc.  But I run trains just using dc.  Will the new loco work ?

2.  Will all different manufacturers rolling stock run properly on Atlas code 80 snap-track?

3.  Does anyone know what Micro-Train couplers would I need to convert mostly older Bachmann and Atlas cars from the late 70's and 80's?

Thanks, Paul

What is the best way to unballast a section of track that I want to reconfigure without damaging the track sections.  I used Elmers glue with a 50/ 50 mix with water.  Thanks  Paul

N / Knuckle Couplers
January 13, 2014, 04:43:55 PM
It seems that different manufacturers call there knuckle couplers by different names but my question is are they all compatible?  I don't want to purchase cars from different companies and have an issue.  Thanks Paul.
