I am new to model railing roading HO Scale. I have recently purchased a Spectrum 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain (Illinois Central). I may have misunderstood. I know the item is DCC ready but is it also have sound? Appreciate your assistance.

DCC ready means NO decoder and NO sound, "DCC equipped" or "DCC On board" means it has a non-sound decoder unless it explicitly states on the box that it has sound.
