Bachmann has just uploaded an image of Duck (Item No. 58810).

PLEASE NOTE: He is NOT in stock yet and will not be arriving until 2013. We are sorry for the wait, but he will be worth waiting for. :) :)
I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
but why does he have a black footplate and buffers? ???
Knew he would be worth it, and any idea when in 2013?
If Duck had made it to Christmas, I know what would have been on my list.
This will definitely be my next Bachmann Thomas purchase! The face is dead-on accurate! Bachmann, you all deserve a pat on the back. It will be well worth the wait.
As for the buffers and footplate, his buffers are black but I hope the finished product will have the footplate the correct color. This is likely a prototype, remember the picture of spencer where he had no front buffers? Please correct that though BACHMANN in case you missed it, he is spot on otherwise.
BEAUTIFUL, well done Bachmann really blow me away. Bring on 2013.

yeah and remember the Mavis prototype? it was grey!
WELL DONE BACHMANN!!! :D :D :D
He's gorgeous! Look at the face! It's straight out of Season 2! A thing of beauty and a must-have.
Wow! Congratulations, Bachmann! Duck looks awesome. :)
it looks great like its right out of season two
Mein Gott!!!! He looks awesometastic!
I hate to be the first to criticize it, As good as it looks, it looks a little oddly proportioned....
He's stunning, well done Bachmann!

The wheels do look a little too small in comparison with his tanks and his funnel is a bit too tall... it might just be a prototype though.
Duck also seems to have a black thing on top of his safety-valve cover (the green cone-shaped thing in front of the whistle), which wasn't present on the TV series model. Maybe it's just the lip of the cover in black, I don't know.
Despite his minor niggles, Duck looks terrific. Everything looks spot-on as to how he appeared in the series, and the face was an excellent choice.
The minor things will no doubt be corrected by the time Duck here hits shelves. And knocks down the doors, and some tables, and even display cases. Why? Well, because there is an engine crashing into a model train shop. :P
At least the owner won't have shaving cream on hand this time!
Ahh yes, I can just imagine it now, people will be making the majority of Season 2 remakes, starting with the famous 'Duck and Diesel' trilogy ;D
Bachmann Duck: Made the Great Western way, not the wrong way. Spot on Bachmann!! Thank you! ;D
Last I heard Duck will be out in April, which isn't terribly far away. I hope they stick to that date, it'll be the first time an engine arrives before the holidays or sometime in the fall. :) Whatever errors there are on the preproduction photo, I'm sure they will all be taken care of before the actual model itself comes out.
I love the face choice too, it's a classic face that works perfectly for Duck. The funnel is the stovepipe one used from the recent series, but I don't mind it. The model looks like Duck, and that's all that matters in the end.
Bachmann's done it again. Fans ask for quality products, and they get quality products in return. The Bachmann Duck is model is a prime example of this. I'm glad I preordered my model early, and I'm looking forward to the day he comes out.
Thank you Bachmann for listening to the fans, it's appreciated by each and every one of them.
EDIT: In case anyone was curious, the face Bachmann used for Duck was actually used in Season 7 shown here:

At long last, we FINALLY have a picture of Bachmann Duck. Since this is just a prototype, let's hope the actual product will have the errors fixed. Other than that, the model will be great!
April? Darn it Bachmann, both you and the gaming industry are going to make me break the bank this year! Can't wait for him though. ;D
YAY!!! He's got the toothy grin I wanted! ;D
I must admit, the more I look at it, the more perfect it looks! Defiantly getting it when it comes out.....I can't wait to see how it looks next to the other engines....I also must point out that the chassis looks different to the Scottish twins chassis...the wheels look smaller, and it's longer at the back. I don't know :P
"There was a rouseing cheer for Duck the Great Western Engine".
Oh man he looks cool cant wait to see the actual model!!!!!
ITS BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!!!

Everyone does!!!!!!
I think they purposely had Duck be made very later until all of the detailing was implemented (such as the coupling hooks seen on Donald, Douglas, and Diesel), which was a definite smart idea and a worthwhile one too! :D

I think the actual wheel set is the same, but the chassis itself was probably extended to accommodate the longer body.
I can't tell, but does he have a white footplate?

Not in this photo, no, but it may be a pre-production model.
Yeah, the picture released I'm pretty sure is the proto-type. Which is why he may look a little bit squashed.
I think he looks so fabulous :o. It's almost like I feel I could :'(
I feel it here, Duke. Unfortunately we still have to wait, but for a good cause.
Not that long it will be January soon....but most likely he will get pushed back for November.

I myself hope that that won't be the case. But if so, I guess good things come to those who wait.
I'm in awh over this model, can't wait for its release!!
:) Back in action! :)
I understand it is just a prototype, but I think his driving wheels are a bit smaller in diameter the they are in the TVS and they should be and they should be evenly spaced. His drive wheels in the TVS are somewhere in size between Thomas' driving wheels and Oliver's driving wheels.
Yes, I think the wheels are slightly out or proportion, hopefully the model is not too far into it's production to correct this (as well as the running board colour).
Definitely a great looking model nonetheless - I hope the model will live up to the performance standards of Bachmann's latest Thomas models (or even better). It'd be good to have a Bachmann tank engine that can make it up the hills on my layout!
I have a feeling most if not all of the few minor errors will be corrected. Remember there is no perfect product...but Duck is pretty close. :D
Duck looks Awesome, Can't wait till he arrives :D

After looking up these two videos simultaneously, I don't think it was much of a mistake (at least it was after looking at the Season 2 behind the scenes model of Duck was what struck me a bit).
Also, keep in mind that before the other models were released (Mavis, with her odd coloring scheme, and Spencer, being buffer-less, are prime examples), they had a bit of errors, but were corrected for the final time, although same could be said for Thomas, Percy, and James....
Just preodered my Duck at my local hobby store, can't wait to get it! ;D
